Two more Granny Squares!

Oh yeah! I'm addicted!

They are so easy to do when you have 10 minutes to kill waiting for a friend to arrive for a drink, or before a massage in Melbourne Central. LOL, that was me today!

Just a quick post, as the internet will run out soon, and I'm still in the hotel on my working tour of Melbourne/Australia. I saw some COMEDY tonight (what's new, really) and enjoyed it. One comedian talked about Bejewelled Blitz which is my new fave game on Facebook, so I was WELL pleased about that.

I'm around in Melbs til Monday, but luckily Husbie Darling will arrive on Saturday and thank goodness! Talk soon!

  1. Dear Veronica, you're the winner of the bag giveaway! I hope your friend's little girl will enjoy the bag for a long time^^ I sent you an email for the shipping address details. And congrats on your first squares, looks like you made them perfectly :)

  2. Aww! Pretty soon you'll have a whole granny! What? That doesn't make sense. I used to be a dresser on Broadway which means tons of down time and then panic. We would spend the slow parts making granny squares that would eventually get put together to make blankets for charity. Mine were a bit spazzy but I'm sure they were still pretty warm. It's a fun group project to do. And you won a bag!! My hero!

  5. I used to have one of these blankies when I was little! The squares look great, I wonder if the wool has anything to do with Aran Jumpers/wool
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aran_sweater from little ol Ireland?!

  6. Ahh, so cute! I really do need to re-teach myself to knit. Perhaps that can be my winter challenge, I don't feel much like knitting when its hot! And yes we did settle in the inner west, its lovely here, we are in Rozelle to be exact :)

  7. I know you like retro fashions. Back in the late 60's/early 70's I used to make short little shrunken vest tops from granny squares. Nine of them crocheted together make the front and back, double-crochet sides, shoulder straps, and perhaps a stripe or two around the bottom.
