*** Please note that this giveaway has happened already, thanks for your lovely comments! - Veronica Darling 13/08/09***
Yay!
If you've only just joined me here on my crafty adventures blog, you are finding me at the end of a month long sew-a-long, where I made an Outfit a Day for the month of July! I rather roughly called it the "Ultimate Outfit Send Off, 24/7 July Challenge with Veronica Darling" or something along those lines, because you see I'm aiming for 100 Outfits all up, and needed a bit of a kick because I'm so close to 100!
Well here are all the Outfits from July! (In no particular order!) You can click on the image if you wanna see it larger though!
Yay again!
So for my first ever giveaway, I thought why don't you leave a comment with your fave Outfit, and I'll pick you out of a hat to be the winner of that Outfit! Sound easy enough? The only catch is that some outfits (pictured above) have been given away (baby presents!) or sold or worn by grubby old me. So if you fancy a garment that's been either of these things, perhaps list why you liked that garment and I shall make you a new one.
OR browse by what's available, by looking at the YELLOW stars (click for the larger image) below:
Remember too, I'm more than happy to take commissions, but I'm really not a professional sewer (getting faster!) and whilst your garment will be totally one of a kind, it's made with slow & particular care & adoration for the craft. Hee hee!
You can contact me at veronicadarling AT gmail DOT com any time lovely peeps!
So I'm just about on 100, perhaps after my little weekend break from sewing (I've been cooking and clearing up my sewing room) I'll reach 100 this next coming week?

Hi Veronica, This sounds like a fun give away! I love love love the yellow dress with the white flowers. I don't get the chance to sew much at the moment so I enjoy watching what you come up with. Cheers Lisa =D
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading every post! All you're creations are beautiful. I am especially fond of the romper, I have been looking for a pattern for a while, I know it's not stared, but would you mind sharing the pattern?! I suppose if I did win your fun giveaway I would let you decide...(they are all do great) I hope you do something like this again! You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteVeronica, wow, you made it! An outfit a day, I couldn't do it. And such great things too!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love that 40-ish red dress. Love that!
What are you going to do now? Are you in such a sewing-mode that you just can't stop? Or is it time for a well-earned sewing break now? ;-) That's oke, ofcourse, but not too long. Because I can't wait to see what else you will be making!
x Karin
I'm already getting one of your awesome pieces, so skip me on your drawing but I did want to say YAY, to you for doing this!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats lady your stuff looks amazing!
Oh my gosh, the romper! I absolutely love that thing, you did an amazing job.
ReplyDeleteAlso... you're amazing for making an outfit a day, that's crazy!
I love the va-va-voom dress (wiggle dress), outfit #85 i think... but i also loved the milkmaid dresses (the red/pink) one in particular... i've got to say i'm going to be a bit sad when your challenge is done with... it's been fascinating to watch! you'll keep up the regular sewing right and the daring outfits?
ReplyDeleteAmy
Ooh, giveaway! You've had a hectic month :o) As you know, I love ALL your creations. But I do love the ra-ra skirts (I mean the ones with the ruffles) the best, they're so cute! Can't wait to see outfit #100 xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a giveaway. Well apart from the dress that I emailed you about I really love the orange dress with the frill and the black belt.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly an inspiration. I am happy with an outfit a month, and here, you manage an outfit a day!
ReplyDeleteYour red ruffle dress is absolutely gorgeous - I just love it. When I saw that post it made me realize that I need a real spruce up to my wardrobe - I'm so bland and boring!
Your writer's voice is fabulous by the way...the posts from the pub made me giggle out loud - keep up the great (and entertaining) work.
Well done! You deserve a gold medal :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been so FUN keeping up with what you've been making each day!!! :) I always look forward to seeing your creations. Great job on getting this far!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say the sexy Housewife Apron (#88) is my fave since I try to wear aprons as much as possible when cooking dinner for hubby! But since it doesn't have a star.. I'll say the skirt at the bottom with blue and yellow floral designs! :]
Well done, you are amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy fave is the dress in the left hand corner, although it looks like it might be a wee bit small around the hips for me, so if I was lucky enough to win and it doesn't, my second fave is the red ruffle one! But really, they're all wonderful!
My Fave is outfit #85 - the red retro dress. looks amazing on you. I love the style, the detail on the front and the v detail on the back.
ReplyDeletevery pretyt- don't see numbers but love the dress top row third over- that is so pretty
ReplyDeleteI love the red dress... it looks like picture number 10ish or 11ish?
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get better at making clothes... I'm more of a quilter... so I might bother you with questions eventually.
Beautiful garments!
My favourite is the va va voom dress aka Outfit #85. But I think you should keep it - it looks mega hot on you.
ReplyDeleteP
oh, the top red dress is beautiful!! I believe #79?? I actually love anything red... the ruffle dress is adorable too! Anyway - you amaze me with your talent!! I can't even sew a straight line. I'm a newbie to your blog, but seeing your outfit a day challenge was so fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with that pink plaid skirt ever since you made it - the shape of it is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your outfit a day - what an inspiring project!
I love all the outfits! One of my favorites is the ruffle skirts, I love #70. I can't believe you have almost completed 100 outfits!
ReplyDeleteWow - amazing giveaway! I adore them all, but I absolutely fell in love with that skirt you made from a pillowcase - the navy, red and white one. Oh be mine little skirt!
ReplyDeleteWow, you've made such a variety of cute things!
ReplyDeleteThe top row third from the left dress of ivory? with orange flowers is so beautiful. It reminds me of a thick velvet dress my mom made for herself as a young woman, only this looks like an updated springy version!
I am an apron lover so I would go wit the full one!

I am totally in love with the red & white gingham skirt!! Finding your blog has inspired me to start sewing again... I hope to get as good someday! Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI stand in awe ... i just don't know how you manage to fit all that sewing in. It's as much as I can do to sew a bag in a month! Well done you though. x
ReplyDeleteReally enjoy reading your Blog, to see what you have made. Your sewing is truly amazing and you are so clever.
ReplyDeleteI used to sew before I had my daughter, would love to get back into sewing, but have lost my confidence.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to vote on our favourite outfit.
My favourite would be the Milkmaid outfit - Red/Purple Floral Summer Dress - #91/#92.
I don't have a Blog.
Take Care and Thank you.

Wow, you are so talented! I can't believe you have made all of this in one month! It is so hard to pick a favorite, but I think I like the 80's style skirt with the double-tier ruffles towards the bottom. The plaid skirt next to it takes a very close second.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented. All of the things are beautiful. I really like the dress with the orange flowers.
ReplyDeleteThat red dress with the ruffled front is fantastic! Please enter me!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Great items! I really love one of the red dresses, its next to a red shirt. I wish I knew how to sew. Bought a machine 5 yrs ago, and its still in the box! ughhh
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
Fun giveaway! I adore the blue and red striped drindl style skirt at the bottom...too cute! What an effort, what will you do next?
ReplyDeleteLove the White dress that you're wearing with Cowboy Boots... OR the Peach blouse that you have paired with the Black Belt!
